More than £5.5 million has been raised for Birmingham City Council so far in 2025 thanks to Bond Wolfe’s first three property auctions of the year.
The momentum of successful sales has progressively strengthened in each auction, with £807,000 of sales on 6 February, another £1,908,000 on 27 March and then a flurry of bidding producing £2,860,500 on 15 May.
The running total of £5,575,500 raised in 2025 to date is set to continue as Bond Wolfe continues its contract to raise funds for the council at its next four auctions this year.
And Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, today invited other councils and housing associations to use his company’s auctions to sell their unwanted property stocks.
Mr Bassi said: “We have worked closely with Birmingham City Council to successfully sell a carefully selected range of its commercial, industrial and non-operational properties.

Example of the properties sold for Birmingham City Council so far this year are:
- The former Merrishaw Childrens Centre at 49 Merrishaw Road in Northfield, which had a £200,000+ guide price* and sold on 6 February for £351,000.
- A six-bedroomed, detached house at 83 Lichfield Road in Sutton Coldfield, which had a £600,000+ guide price and sold on 27 March for £799,000.
- A former caretaker’s house at 43 Poplar Road in Kings Heath, a three-bedroomed, detached house that had a £200,000+ guide price and sold on 27 March for £262,000.
- The former Four Oaks Boys Club on Wilmcote Drive, in the Mere Green area of Sutton Coldfield, which sold on 15 May for £393,000 – more than five times its £75,000+ guide price.
- The former Trittiford Learning Centre at 109-111 Trittiford Road in Moseley, which had a £500,000+ guide price and sold on 15 May for £1,520,000.
Bond Wolfe will hold a further four livestreamed auctions in 2025 on 10 July, 11 September, 23 October and 10 December.
