Work at Bellway’s Barley Fields development in Tamworth is now nearing completion, with only six properties left to sell, and construction entering the final stages. The housebuilder is delivering 227 private properties at Barley Fields, alongside 87 affordable properties made available for local people through shared ownership or rent. The last two, three, four and five-bedroom properties are now on sale at the site off Ashby Road, situated to the north of the town. Construction work is scheduled to conclude this summer, when residents are expected to move into the final homes.
This development is part of a wider consortium scheme to deliver 535 homes to the area, alongside a new primary school, Anker Valley Primary Academy, which opened to nursery and reception-age children in September 2021, as well as a Co-operative supermarket and a new riverside park by the River Anker.
