PegasusLife the property developing company has announced that they have secured planning approval for their first scheme to be located in The New Forest. The company has obtained planning permission for a project in Brockenhurst in The Rise Conservation Area. The site is in the New Forest National Park and it is thought that the project will consist of 24 one and two-bedroom apartments that are being developed exclusively for those who are over sixty.
The project will see the apartments separated between three villas and a coach house that will renovate the site on which the disused Watersplash Hotel stands. The project will be designed in a way that will fit in seamlessly with the surrounding area and it is thought that the development will include a variety of cleverly designed internal and external shared spaced that are designed in order to help residents and neighbours socialize easily. It is thought these shared spaces will lead to a flourishing community.
PegasusLife works to offer all their homes on a 1000-year lease and also says that they do not charge their customers exit fees. The management of these properties are carried out on a non-profit basis. The development company are aiming on transforming the way retirement property is viewed in order to change the way it is delivered in the UK. The company are also focusing on creating these developments in desirable locations that will be attractive to the company’s target market. The development will also offer high quality, flexible and well-proportioned living space for their customers, as they aim to on all their developments.
Hopefully the homes that are created as part of the development will fit in to the local area and improve the lives of those that choose to live there. The company had to revise the scheme in order to get the approval from the planning authority in order to make sure that the project enhances the character of the Conservation Area and was respectful to the existing buildings.
