Two prominent London quantity surveying and project management consultancies have announced a merger to strengthen their offer to clients.

Long-established QS firm Piercehill Consulting LLP has joined forces with the larger cost management and project management firm, Stature London. Going forwards the combined practice will be called Stature Piercehill.

A new board of directors has been established that includes Andy Pilcher and David Heil, previously of Piercehill, along with Adam Lynch and Qingning Chu, formerly of Stature London. They will lead a team of around 20 people, which includes an office of four in Malta.

The two firms – to be based in the former offices of Stature London in Wilton Road, in the centre of London, near Victoria Station – bring together a wide range of experience and expertise, resulting in a comprehensive service offering.

For Adam Lynch, the merger also represents a personal and professional journey – having worked at Piercehill for nine years after leaving university. He worked under Andy and alongside David during this period.

Adam Lynch said: “This merger represents things going full circle. Andy and David were real mentors to me. The senior team know each other well, there’s a good cultural fit; a good natural alignment and approach to how we do business.

“We look forward to our two firms building on our respective strengths together. Both firms serve a wide range of clients across various sectors and are renowned for consistently delivering excellent service and earning trust over an extended period.”

Qingning Chu added: “The collaboration and endeavour will enable us to provide our valued clients with an enriched project experience, backed by a wider range of capabilities, collective experience, and additional resources.

Piercehill has its roots in traditional quantity surveying, but now offers the complete range of cost consultancy and specialist services. With experience in new build, and commercial refurbishment and fit out, the team offers complimentary skills and experience to Stature. There are no cross-over clients.

Since being founded in 2016, Stature London has established a strong foothold in high-end hotels, and the commercial, office-space sector undertaking prestigious re-fits and refurbishments. Other work includes healthcare, and co-living projects.

Director Andy Pilcher said: “With our combined expertise and resources we see an exciting period of growth and development ahead. Our strong client base and wide range of sector experience means we’re aiming to see consistent year-on-year growth.”

David Heil added: “This merger adds new capabilities to those we traditionally offered to Piercehill clients. It will certainly strengthen our project management service. Th combined strengths really do offer more strings to our bow.”

The new business aims to deliver a premium collective service and already reports a strong pipeline of work for the next 12 months.
