On Tuesday 8th September HRH The Princess Royal unveiled a plaque to officially declare Farmers & Fletchers In the City open for business. Home to two City Livery Companies: The Worshipful Company of Farmers and The Worshipful Company of Fletchers, Farmers & Fletchers In the City is located at 3 Cloth Street, London EC1A 7LD.

The Princess Royal first opened the Hall in 1987, and was Master of The Worshipful Company of Farmers from 2001-2002. Her Royal Highness met with the Court of the Farmers and the Court of the Fletchers and congratulated everyone on their hard work and the development of the venue.

After almost £1.8 million in refurbishments, the elegant new venue is set to create a ‘home from home’ for members and families of The Worshipful Companies of Farmers and Fletchers, as well as providing a luxurious and contemporary event space for the wider City community.

Graham Bamford, The Clerk of The Worshipful Company of Farmers has said:

“We’re looking forward to hosting many happy events here, serving our livery members as well as the wider City community. We’re excited to be supporting the British farming industry, with meats and seasonal produce coming from our own farms, and fish from the surrounding seas”.

The venue is now available for event bookings, from private dinners, wedding receptions and parties, to meetings, conferences and press launches.  The largest room can accommodate up to 120 guests for a dinner. The venue is the epitome of contemporary style and classic elegance, and natural colours such as soft duck egg, soft sage green and soft pebble grey have been used throughout to create a clean cut ambience that is superb for both business and leisure events.
