Unconventional £1,250-a-Month Flat Next to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium Raises Eyebrows

A landlord has made an unexpected move by asking for £1,250 per month for a flat situated next to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium… with a combined bathroom and kitchen.

Despite its peculiar layout, the compact studio flat is being marketed as a “great opportunity” for a “couple of friends” to reside in.

The unremarkable-looking space comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table, and two wooden chairs, but lacks a proper dining table.

The kitchen is equipped with a sink, two hob rings, a shelf, and cabinets.

However, the shower stands at the end of the kitchen worktop, which also accommodates the bathroom basin.

A transparent shower screen offers virtually no privacy to the occupants who share the space.

The toilet is located in a narrow, separate room to the side.

This unconventional studio flat, situated within a three-storey building, is a mere 50 meters from the entrance to the 60,000-capacity Emirates Stadium in Islington, north London.

Upper-Class Estates is responsible for letting the property, which is being advertised on Rightmove.

One flat hunter, Leo Quartermain, expressed his disbelief: “While browsing flats on Rightmove out of curiosity, I stumbled upon one listed for £1,250 a month. I must be seeing things. This can’t be serious. Living in a combined kitchen and bathroom for £1,250 a month? Is this a joke?”

Dylan Brown playfully commented: “You can take a shower and keep an eye on food cooking on the hob. What’s not to love?”

Another individual, Emily, found the placement of the shower to be rather unusual.

Lexie chimed in, saying: “Oh my God, that’s shocking.”

The property’s listing highlights its proximity to the football ground, reading: “We are pleased to present this self-contained studio apartment to rent, in a prime location. The property offers a studio with a private kitchenette and bathroom. Situated on the same road as Arsenal Stadium and in close proximity to Metropolitan University, Arsenal, Highbury and Islington, Caledonian Road Underground station, and Drayton Park Mainline stations. Holloway Road offers numerous excellent amenities including shops, cafes, and restaurants. The property comprises a fitted kitchen, bathroom, large bedroom area, and double-glazed windows. Council tax, electricity, and water are not included in the rent price.”
