Queensberry have appointed Paul Ward, formerly of NEAT Developments, Barratt London, and Berkeley Homes, as residential director, a newly created position at Queensberry as it pushes forward into the Build to Rent (BTR) residential sector.

Paul joins Queensberry with 20 years of experience working on large, complex residential led schemes within both the public and private sectors, each typically delivering over a thousand new homes and associated uses including retail, commercial, social infrastructure, and high-quality public realm.

Paul’s role as Residential Director will enable Queensberry to offer a platform for delivery of new multi-family homes as part of its developments in a continued commitment to create enduring and harmonious urban environments.

Paul Ward said “I have followed Queensberry’s evolution for a while now, and I am pleased to be joining at an exciting time in its mission to create a better world for people to live in. My passion for innovative design strongly aligns with Queensberry’s belief that good design should be at the core of all its developments.

“For the past ten years, I have been developing in London and have seen the positive impact regeneration is having on the South East. Whilst my role with Queensberry will be nationwide, I am particularly looking forward to developing again in the Midlands and the North.

“I’m from Rotherham and knowing the need for regeneration in towns and cities like this, I’m eager to help support the levelling-up agenda and provide real change in similar areas with our private and public sector partners.”

Queensberry Founder, Paul Sargent, said “Becoming a recognised force in the Build to Rent sector is critical to our ongoing success. We have always been disruptors and pioneers and it is now time for us to fully embrace the residential sector at a time where demand is outstripping supply in our core UK cities.

It’s great to have Paul on board adding relevant ‘hands on’ delivery experience to our team of existing regeneration experts. Paul will help us acquire and develop standalone residential schemes as well as incorporate residential into future developments so that we can deliver the most impactful regeneration projects.”
