Madison Berkeley is one of the fastest-growing new real estate recruiters in the capital. The female-founded agency, started in 2017 by Nina Zeilerbauer and Clare Coe has gone from 2 employees to 13 and has worked on prestigious developments such as Coal Drops Yard and other major London estates.

With over 30 years of real estate recruitment experience between them, Clare and Nina decided to strike out together and change the world of real estate. From the outset, they paid close attention to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. They knew that tackling this within real estate recruitment would be key to ensuring the security of the capital’s built environment and its assets.

Within the first 18 months of trading, they had secured 50% of their placements as female. At that time they were operating in an industry which was reflecting just 13% female representation. Thankfully that figure is now higher. They remain committed to ensuring that the real estate industry has a diverse workforce. Last year they partnered with Black Women in Real Estate for the #IAMWOMAN campaign.

Their 2023 campaign which aims to tackle the issue of female retention in the industry will launch in Mid to late September.

Clare says “With the ongoing success of Madison Berkeley we thought it was time to freshen up our image. We are keen to ensure that we project an image in keeping with our values. With our commitment to recruiting with ED + I at the fore, we want a logo and brand that reflects this and I think we’ve achieved it. Branding is such an important part of life now and perhaps in our industry, it is another area that can often be overlooked.”

Nina says that a lot has changed in the world of real estate recruitment over the years. “We have grown our team over the last 6 years and that team has our core values at heart when choosing and placing the right candidates for our clients. We know we do things differently to many other recruiters and that unique way of working is hopefully now reflected in our branding.”
