Whitehouse Construction Raises Money for Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre

Whitehouse Construction, the Ashbourne based construction company has raised an amazing £6,700 for the new Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre. the construction company was awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award in 2016 and has also signed the Armed Forces Covenant. The company decided to show their support for the Armed Forces by fundraising at their 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner. The company encouraged all those that attended to donate as much as they could. The £6,700 is an amazing amount that will be put into the creation of the new rehabilitation centre.

The DNRC is based at Stanford on Sour and near to Loughborough. Working to deliver rehabilitation services to Armed Service personnel and members of the public, the DNRC is an initiative that was first formed by the Duke of Westminster. The aim of the center is to offer 21st Century rehabilitation services to those who need it. The donation will be a great help towards the development of a new rehabilitation centre.

The Ministry of Defence’s Regional Employer Engagement Director has expressed his delight at the generous donation from all of the workers at Whitehouse Construction. The construction company have gone the extra mile in their commitment to support the Armed Forces, its veterans and reservists with this fundraising and donation effort.

The DNRC are aiming to raise £300 million, which will be used to transform the lives of a large number of people and help the organisation to develop new facilities that can offer more rehabilitation for people in the future. It is great to see companies support the Armed Forces, but it is even better to see these supporters go out of their way to contribute to the fundraising work to create a facility that could help so many people. Hopefully Whitehouse Construction will serve as an example of how an annual event can be altered slightly in order to bring a massive benefit for such a worthy organisation.
