Dura Composites Chosen by HPW Architecture to Carry Out Work

Dura Composites has been chosen by HPW Architecture in order to carry out work for a new development. The construction work is being carried out in the Nene Valley. It is thought that the project is called The Rushden Lakes which is near Northampton and is expected to open in the Summer of 2017.

The Composite Timber Cladding company has been used to carry out work at the Northampton which will be consisted by retail, leisure and tourism. The design of the facility was created by HPW Architecture, who has also been significantly involved in the development throughout. The location for the retail and leisure area is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Rushden Lakes has been generated in order to improve the access to the lakes and wildlife as well as creating state of the art shopping and leisure facilities. This mean that the area will appeal to a wide range of different people.

The development has also been created by working closely with the Wildlife Trust and Natural England. The buildings have been constructed so that there are three net-zero energy buildings, all of which have been clad with the materials by Dura Composites. The cladding of the building is in a flushed Cedar colour and all three of the buildings have been super insulated.

This is a great project for Dura to have their cladding used, as it will be seen by a lot of the general public due to the facilities function. Hopefully Dura will be chosen for more projects in the future. The first phase of the development is expected to be open in July and after this there will be two more phases to be completed which will add more shops and restaurants to the development as well as a 14 screen cinema.
