Courtyard properties in the Surrey Hills come to the market

The South East New Homes team of global property consultancy Knight Frank has announced the launch of The Courtyard in West Horsley, Surrey. The Courtyard is a unique collection of four 2- and 3-bedroom contemporary barn-style houses, which will be delivered by award-winning developer Runnymede Homes.

Conveniently positioned on the outskirts of both West and East Horsley villages, the development is expected to appeal to those looking for a Surrey countryside retreat with a high-quality lifestyle.

Each of the properties has its own unique layout and has been expertly designed and built to Runnymede’s customary high standard.

Set behind a walled entrance, the four homes occupy a private courtyard setting and feature classic combinations of red brick and the rich tones of shiplap and weatherboarding. The use of full height and split-level windows, in a range of differing formats and scale, provides a contemporary edge.

Internally, the layout continues in a contemporary style with an open-plan hub on the ground floor, whilst the first floor offers traditional bedroom and bathroom layouts. The homes are fully networked for an array of media connectivity and include high quality appliances and contemporary designer sanitaryware.

Each carefully crafted new home enjoys a private garden with terraced area, brought closer to the living space through folding glazed doors, French windows, sliding doors or a mixture of each. Two of the homes include garages, whilst all include driveways or allocated parking.

Laura Hackney, a Partner at Knight Frank and Head of South East New Homes said: “There is currently a strong requirement from buyers who are looking for a rural location with the benefits of good amenities nearby. Set in the Surrey Hills and an area of outstanding natural beauty, these properties have been well designed and carefully built with superb attention to detail which buyers are looking for. The area has good connections to London and the county town of Guildford, as well as convenient access to the M25.”

Mark Knight, Managing Director at Runnymede Homes added: “We had great success with our recent, award-winning Foxfield development at West Clandon, where our ‘farmyard, barn-style homes’ attracted great praise for the design detail, standard of finish and sense of place. The Courtyard has been another opportunity for Runnymede to create another special place with four new homes to stand out distinctively from the crowd.”

Properties at The Courtyard are available to buy through selling agents Knight Frank and Wills and Smerdon with prices ranging from £795,000 to £1,565,000.
