Share to Buy, the country’s leading property portal for Shared Ownership and alternative home-buying schemes, has doubled its team in the past six months, marking significant growth in the company’s operations.

The ambitious organisation has created seven new roles across all areas of the business, from Marketing and Events to Client Success. The new hires mark a period of continued expansion for the company, which will see the portal significantly growing the number of property listings, user base and partnerships throughout the country.

Over the last year, 43 new providers have listed with Share to Buy, seeing an increase in providers in the East Midlands, South East and South West, while listings on the site have increased by 11.43%. Already on the up, sharetobuy.com experienced a 10% increase in enquiries and a 14% increase in new registrants during the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.

Joining the team from various backgrounds including affordable housing, digital marketing and public relations, Share to Buy’s new staff members include:

    • Jodie Lawrence -Client Success Consultant
    • Botsang Muchengwa – Events & Marketing Executive
    • Casey Gillings -Content Lead
    • Jessica Kennard -Client Success Manager
    • Joel Rayney – Client Success Manager
    • Lily O’Connor -Content & Client Success Assistant
    • Joanne Harding – Accounts Payable

Alongside the new hires, Share to Buy is also expanding their live event offering for 2024/2025. Following 11 years of the London Home Show, a bi-annual exhibition which has welcomed over 70,000 first time buyers to date, Share to Buy has recently kickstarted a brand-new programme of regional Home Shows across the country, starting with the inaugural Bristol Home Show on June 29th 2024.

Share to Buy’s first-ever exhibition outside the capital, the Bristol Home Show will take place at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel between 10.30am and 4pm. First time buyers across Bristol and the South West can attend the free event and speak to a range of expert exhibitors, receive free financial and legal advice and attend educational sessions about Shared Ownership and the buying process. Sponsors of this event include leading providers of affordable homes in the region – Abri Homes, Bromford, Guinness Homes and Sovereign Network Group.

Later in 2024 and into 2025, Share to Buy will announce details of additional live Home Shows popping up in different regions of the country, including their first exhibition in the North West next year.

Nick Lieb, Chief Operations Officer of Share to Buy, comments: “First time buyers need more help than ever in getting onto the property ladder, and expanding our team will allow us to significantly increase our output – both in our operations, particularly outside the capital, and also in our marketing division of the business. We look forward to continuing to work alongside our clients and partners in the housing industry to help the growth of Shared Ownership and other routes onto the housing ladder. Our new hires come with a wealth of experience from across the housing sector and beyond, and are already helping shape the direction of the business.”

Property portal Share to Buy is the UK’s leading independent website for first time buyers, listing over 18,000 homes available through alternative housing schemes in 2023 alone, as well as providing a wealth of independent information and how-to guides for budding buyers. Since the portal’s inception over 10 years ago, Share to Buy has registered more than 640,000 users to the site, listed homes from over 320 providers (including housing associations, developers, sales agents and local authorities) and generated almost 2.5 million leads from hopeful first time buyers.
