Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q, comments: “Our upcoming Open Day at The Chain invites hopeful first-time buyers to get a feel for what life in Walthamstow could offer them. The new two-bedroom apartments have been designed for modern living – maximising natural light, storage space and with plenty of room for home working requirements. It’s a great opportunity for our customers to see the properties and have any questions they might have about the Shared Ownership process answered.

Shared Owners Marcelo and Neil found their new home at The Chain. Speaking about what they loved most about the apartment, they comment, “Once inside, the space in the flat was just beautiful. Before our viewing, we were able to see all the floor plan options and the brochure, which was gorgeously laid out and informative. The open-plan living spaces were spacious and filled with light, and really suitable for our needs – we co-parent a little boy and in the future we will need more space for our growing family.”

In the surrounding area, Walthamstow is home to some fantastic open spaces, parks and forests. Lloyd Park and St. James Park are especially popular with locals and offer cafés and children’s play areas. Walthamstow Leisure centre is an eight-minute walk from The Chain, or just a three-minute bus journey, and has a gym, badminton and squash courts and a 5-a-side football pitch. The idyllic nearby Walthamstow Wetlands offers a slice of tranquillity and natural haven amidst the urban landscape.

Living at The Chain means having a wide array of popular, well-reviewed restaurants, coffee shops and bars offering world cuisines right on the doorstop. Popular local hotspots include CRATE St James, Sodo Pizza and Eat 17. The area is brimming with creativity and entrepreneurial flair, with places like Yonder and Ravenswood Industrial Estate bringing yoga, climbing, co-working spaces and popular local bars and breweries to the Walthamstow scene.

The development is well connected, with excellent transport links to the rest of London within easy reach. There are three railway stations within walking distance – St James Street, Walthamstow Queen’s Road and Walthamstow Central – meaning Central London can be reached in just a few minutes via the Victoria and Bakerloo lines.
