BELLWAY SAYS SKELTON IS FAST BECOMING CLEVELAND’S NEWEST PROPERTY HOTSPOT

Bellway Homes says soaring sales in Skelton show the Cleveland market town is fast establishing itself as one of the region’s newest property hotspots.

The national homebuilder has sold over 75 per cent of the homes it’s building at Castlegate – a development of 140-homes just off the town’s Bowland Road.

Paula Murdoch, Bellway’s sales manager, said: “You read some stories about property hotspots and immediately question them, but Skelton has all the right ingredients. It’s a lovely market town in a beautiful area, has easy access to the coast and the countryside, is just a short travelling distance from the area’s main towns and cities and house prices are very competitive.”

“Add into the mix that at our Castlegate development, we’re building a collection of homes with the widest possible appeal and it’s easy to see why it’s proving so popular for house buyers.”

Castlegate comprises a mix of three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes, all of which are perfect for everyone from growing families to downsizers; first time buyers to those simply looking to climb the property ladder. And the company has a range of schemes to make buying easier – from Part Exchange to Express Mover. Prices currently range from £194,995 for a three-bed semi-detached Harper house type to £299,995 for a four-bed detached Bowyer    .

Bellway has already made a positive mark in the local community – donating 400 Christmas crackers to Skelton Primary School in December to make sure its Christmas dinner went down with a real bang. While it recently hosted a group of 20-students from Outwood academy for a careers’ day, which saw the Year 11 students finding out about careers in the construction industry and the pathways they’d need to take to achieve these.

“We’re not just here to build homes, we’re here to create communities – and it’s lovely to see Castlegate already becoming an important part of the town,” added Paula.
