First Homes at Hugglescote Development Go on Sale

The first homes at a new Bellway housing development in the Leicestershire village of Hugglescote are to be released for sale in March.

The housebuilder is delivering 164 new homes at Bellway at Hugglescote Grange, off Grange Road, with a combination of 151 two, three and four-bedroom homes for private sale and 13 one, two and three-bedroom affordable properties for local people through rent or shared ownership, as well as public open space.

The new properties being put on the market will form the first phase of the Bellway development, which is part of a larger 2,000-home neighbourhood called Hugglescote Grange.

“We have been experiencing a high level of demand for the new homes at Bellway at Hugglescote Grange in advance of the launch and we expect that level of interest to continue and perhaps even increase when the first properties are released for sale on Saturday 5 March,” said Fiona Bray, Sales Manager of Bellway East Midlands.

“Work is already underway on the first phase of these new homes and construction is progressing well. We are delivering a range of properties which will appeal to a varied mix of buyers from first-time buyers and downsizers to growing families and are looking forward to helping the first buyers move into their new homes later this year.”

Bellway East Midlands has acquired a second parcel of land for up to 189 new homes within the wider Hugglescote Grange development, with the purchase of both sites made with land regeneration company Harworth Group.

The wider Hugglescote Grange neighbourhood is planned to feature shops and offices, a new primary school, a medical centre, a day nursery and a pub.

The new neighbourhood will bring not only bring much-needed new housing to the area but will also create a vibrant new neighbourhood and bring significant investment into the locality,” Fiona added.
