North East practice Architects-Group outlined plans for further growth as it expanded its portfolio of luxury residential developments across the UK.
The award-winning architecture and design firm, headquartered at AirView Park, Woolsington, reported sustained growth throughout 2025, driven by a series of multi-million-pound, one-off residential commissions. At the time of its announcement, the practice was targeting £3 million turnover by the end of 2026, supported by its work on high-end homes and countryside dwellings.
Landmark Projects and National Recognition
Architects-Group secured six-figure commissions across several flagship schemes, including two Paragraph 84 countryside homes in Northamptonshire that received peer design review approval.
Another completed project—a contemporary residence within one of North Yorkshire’s protected landscapes—was shortlisted in the AJ Architecture Awards 2025 for the Manser Medal (AJ House of the Year), recognising architectural excellence in new-build homes.
The studio, which has twice featured on Grand Designs, continued to strengthen its reputation in the specialist field of bespoke countryside houses, combining architectural innovation with sensitivity to their surroundings.

Ultra-Prime Developments Across the UK
The practice’s portfolio outlined in the announcement included several substantial private residences and bespoke residential schemes:
- A 60,000 sq ft neo-classical manor house in the South East, described at the time as one of the largest dwellings under construction in the country.
- Two private homes of 45,000 sq ft and 35,000 sq ft, both located in Berkshire.
- A bespoke boathouse property on Lake Windermere, reported as being under development.
- A four-storey riverside apartment scheme in Cheshire, with individual units expected to start from £1.2 million.
Closer to home, Architects-Group also secured planning consent for a new manor house and associated workers’ dwellings within a private Northumberland estate. The approval represented a significant milestone following a lengthy planning process.
Together, these commissions illustrated the range of the practice’s residential work, spanning large country houses, waterfront properties and high-value apartments.
Recruitment and International Expansion
In comments accompanying the announcement, Architectural Director Dan Cogdon outlined expectations for continued growth into 2026, supported by recruiting additional design specialists and pursuing overseas opportunities.
Cogdon described the market for exclusive, architecturally ambitious homes as robust, with demand supporting the practice’s pipeline of one-off residential commissions.
The firm’s stated approach focused on quality over quantity, alongside investment in its in-house team to support long-term growth and the delivery of bespoke projects.
Its international ambitions included opportunities in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East during 2026, extending its reach alongside its established UK operations.
A Multidisciplinary Practice with International Reach
At the time of the 2025 announcement, Architects-Group reported 23 specialists across its operations in Newcastle, Cardiff, Chester, London, Lithuania and Saudi Arabia.
The practice offered services encompassing architecture, interior design, landscape design and graphic design. This multidisciplinary structure brought together expertise covering buildings, internal spaces and their surrounding environments, supporting its work on complex residential commissions.
