All Homes Sold at Havant Development

All the homes have now been sold at Bellway’s Brookvale development in Havant, as construction work comes to an end at the site. More than two-thirds of the properties at the development are now occupied, with the remaining residents set to move in over the next few months.

Bellway is building 175 homes at the site, which is located to the south of Bartons Road. This includes the 122 houses for private sale which have all been reserved, as well as 53 homes designated as affordable housing for rent or shared ownership.

When completed, Brookvale will also feature a children’s play area and landscaped area of green open space.

Kim Caldwell, Sales Director for Bellway Wessex, said: “The fact that all homes have been reserved at Brookvale well in advance of the development being completed, demonstrates the high level of demand for new homes in this desirable location.

“The development has an attractive semi-rural setting on the edge of Havant, close to the town’s wide range of facilities, with excellent road links via the A27 and A3. Portsmouth is only a 15-minute drive away, making this a convenient location for travelling to the city, coast and countryside.

“We’ve tried to cater for a broad mix of housebuyers at Brookvale, with a variety of two, three and four-bedroom houses designed to suit people at all stages of the property ladder. The development has been particularly popular with young first-time buyers, many of whom have used the Government’s Help to Buy scheme to purchase with a smaller deposit. There has also been a high proportion of families attracted by the good range of schools within a two-mile radius of the development.”

Among the first-time buyers to make their home at Brookvale, are Lily Pogson and David Ruiz. The young couple purchased a three-bedroom house at the development, having previously rented a one-bedroom property in Waterlooville.

Lily said: “We are just happy to have finally settled in Havant and the feeling is incredible. It is such an amazing location and is close enough to Portsmouth, the beach and the countryside. Everything we need is in proximity to us, it’s close to both our workplaces, and there is never a shortage of places to go.”

“We have family all over the place, so it was important for us to have easy access to the commuter links as well.”

Kim added: “Although all homes at Brookvale have now been sold, we are continuing to deliver much-needed new homes in locations across Hampshire and West Sussex. A wide selection of houses are currently available at Cathedral Park in Chichester.

“We’ve also submitted plans to provide further new homes at our Alexandra Point development in Tipner, Portsmouth, which we hope to launch at the end of this year.”
