Work Starts on Second Phase of Regency Manor Development

Bellway is set to start work on a second phase of new homes at Regency Manor, a flagship development in Wynyard village. Set against the famous Wynyard woodland backdrop, Bellway is close to completing the 138 homes which make up the first phase of Regency Manor.

Its success prompted Bellway to purchase a second parcel of land, where a further 66 homes will be built. Work has now started on this new part of the development next to Wynyard Primary School opposite the existing Bellway development.

“The first phase of new homes at Regency Manor has proven incredibly popular. There are a lot of new homes being built in the local area, but there are very limited opportunities to buy a new home within Wynyard village itself. This, along with the stunning setting and the prestige of Wynyard’s woodland, have helped to drive consistent demand,” said Oliver Wray, Sales Manager for Bellway Durham.

“We have sold 108 homes in the first phase and with just 30 remaining for sale, the time has come to look ahead to the next part of the development. We have completed the purchase of the next parcel of land and secured full planning consent for the development in November. Preparations are now underway and we will soon begin groundworks.”

Regency Manor is part of wider scheme to deliver up to 500 homes at Wynyard village. A GP surgery, community facilities and 500 sq metres of retail space are also included. Wynyard Primary School opened in 2015 and since arriving at Regency Manor, Bellway has built a strong relationship with the school.

“Part of our role as a responsible developer is to be a good neighbour. We have partnered with Wynyard Primary School on a host of events and initiatives and look forward to continuing that relationship as we commit to the future of Wynyard,” added Oliver.

The homes at Regency Manor’s second phase will be four and five-bedroom homes from Bellway’s Artisan Collection. This is a range which showcases the best home designs developed by architects and technicians, and factors in decades of customer feedback.

There is currently a selection of four and five-bedroom homes available to reserve at Regency Manor, with prices starting at £354,995.
