Leading architect Andrew Prosser has joined leading interdisciplinary property consultancy firm McBains Cooper to boost its motor retail sector.

McBains Cooper acts for major motor manufacturers and large dealership groups as well as individual privately owned dealer franchises to deliver architectural advice, dealership management and design team expertise.

Among the firms to have appointed its architects are Citroen, Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot, Hyundai and DS.

Prosser is one of the leading motor retail architects with more than 20 years of experience in the industry sector.

He specialises in planning, feasibility studies, master planning, motor dealership design and retail design and has previously worked for Chapman Taylor, PDP Architects (Project Design Partnership) and Mountford Pigott LLP.

Among his previous work projects are the 12 storey brand showcase building for Hyundai on the Great West Road, the grandstand at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015, Audi’s outdoor exhibition stand and the four-storey dealership for Kia on the Great West Road, as well as a series of Volkswagen and Audi dealerships.

Director of Design at McBains Cooper, Mark Leeson, said that Prosser has extensive experience in working for many major retailers and brands, bringing excellent design skills to the team, along with an in-depth knowledge of the motor retail sector.

Leeson added: “Our view is that the motor retail sector will continue to grow as brands/ manufacturers compete for sales and showrooms become ever more sophisticated.

“Post-Brexit all of the brands we work with remain committed to investing in the UK and are constantly improving their network, the customer retail experience and innovating the way vehicles can be purchased.”
