Linden Homes, the housing developer has revealed its new project. The development called St Augustine’s is located in Oldham and the site contains a show home and a sales office. The brand new show home was opened at the launch, allowing people to see what the St Augustine’s development will have to offer prospective buyers.

At the launch, Linden Homes were joined by the Oldham Council leader. Councillor Jean Stretton as well as other local councillors. The Oldham council members were there to open the site with a ribbon cutting on Monday 6th March.

The guests at the development launch were given a guided tour of the St Augustine’s site, which will consist of 54 homes. The new houses will be three or four bedrooms and a mixture of semi-detached and detached properties. The new homes will be priced starting from £172,995 and eight properties had already been sold ‘off-plan’ before the March 6th launch day. Located close to Oldham’s Town Centre, there is expected to be a great deal of interest in the rest of the properties.

The development has been designed with growing families and first time buyers in mind. Linden Homes has designed a development that contains a high standard of finishes as well as private gardens for all properties on the development. There are a different variety of houses, with prospective buyers able to choose between Bailey, Clyde, Dee, Thames, and Trent style houses when looking to buy on the development.

This new development could boost the economy, by creating new jobs and opportunities. The development will also help with the nationwide housing shortage. Furthermore through the use of incentives created by the Government, the Assisted Move and Help to Buy schemes will be helpful for first time buyers, allowing them the possibility to purchase a house on the St Augustine development.
