Homes in Deeping St James in Warranty Provider’s Top 10

Vistry Group’s Springfields location in Deeping St James for its new homes has been singled out for praise by one of the UK’s leading new home warranty providers.

Premier Guarantee, which is celebrating 25 years in business, has named the 77-home development, being built under the Linden Homes brand, in a top-ten list compiled as part of the company’s anniversary celebrations.

The new home warranty provider asked its surveyors and sales teams to choose their favourite project and the list of the top ten choices has been published on the Premier Guarantee website.

Kelly Nicholls, risk management surveyor at Premier Guarantee, nominated Springfields as her personal favourite.

Kelly said: “I only had the site for three months but the standard of workmanship and expectations of the site managers on this site were absolutely brilliant. We worked really well together and had the same expectations and goals – to build very high standard homes for incoming owners and not have any claims further down the line.

“Trades were polite. I knew their names, they knew my name and full PPE was always worn by all. The site was also exceptionally tidy and health and safety regulations were adhered to, in fact they went above and beyond what was required.”

Premier Guarantee provides structural warranty cover and building control services for housebuilders and developers and has one of the largest national networks of risk management surveyors in the UK.

The company works on projects ranging from housing developments to high-rise residential and commercial projects. It offers bespoke policies covering different tenure types, including private sales, private rental, build-to-rent, commercial and social housing.

Springfields site manager Keiron Pittore was delighted that his development was chosen for the company’s top ten list.

He said: “During the last few years we have been lucky enough to work with a few surveyors, all of whom have been not only a fount of knowledge but also a pleasure to work with. The last few years have been some of the toughest the industry has known. It’s in these times that I believe the strongest relationships are forged and the partnership between our two companies has been no exception.

“On a personal level, Kelly was brilliant to work with. It never mattered how busy she was when we wanted her to look at a foundation or roof, she always had a smile on her face and happy attitude to match.

“Sometimes inspections can feel like a necessity – this was certainly not the case with Kelly. It felt more like positive reinforcement and she would often give advice and feedback as to ways we might look to improve or raise the standard just that little bit more.

“She was not shy to get the trades involved in the conversation and make them part of the decision-making process. It is that way of thinking that is driving this industry forward and making it a better, more positive place where people genuinely care about what they are doing and producing.”

Vistry has started work on a second phase of new homes at Springfields. The housebuilder is delivering a further 69 new homes at the site off Linchfield Road.

There is currently a choice of three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Springfields, priced from £250,000.
