Glazing Federation Attend FIT Show

Glazing Federation Attend FIT Show
The FIT Show was held at the NEC in Birmingham this year and was attended by The Glass and Glazing
Federation. The Organisation has announced that they were really pleased to be a part of the event in
the year when they are celebrating their 40th Anniversary. The FIT Show was held between the 23rd and
the 25th May and it has been found that the event attracted nearly 10,000 visitors. The number of
visitors that attended this year’s show is a record and could in part be due to the larger space that the
event was held in this year. It is the first time that the FIT Show has been held at the NEC and this
allowed the 250 businesses that exhibited more space to present themselves as well as allowed for an
increased capacity for visitors.
The FIT Show was first started in order to recognise the highlights of the industry. The event is a great
way for those working in the construction industry to network and find out about new products and
technologies that can help them with future projects and developments. For the Glass and Glazing
Federation, there was an opportunity to host a part to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. The party took
place on the Tuesday of the three-day event. The Federation recorded that over 80 different people
visited their stand in order to make the most of the entertainment that they put on as well as to explore
the Federation’s work. In order to celebrate their anniversary, the Glass and Glazing Federation had a
limited offer available during the FIT Show, where membership subscription will be discounted by 40%
for their first year. For those who missed out, the Federation have said that this offer will run for 40 days
after the conference at the NEC. The stand at the FIT Show allowed visitors to network with members
and look at the different opportunities that are open to those that become members of the glazing
federation.
