GGF Appoint New MD for Commercial Subsidiaries

The Glass and Glazing Federation is the primary trade association for companies who make, supply and fit glass and other related products. The Federation works to represent more than 60% of the industry’s turnover and because of this, the GGF is considered to be the leading authority for employers and companies within the flat glass, glazing, window, home improvement, plastics and window film industries. The GGF also works to offer their knowledge to homeowners, with the availability of the GGF Carbon Calculator which allows homeowners and others to see how much money and carbon can be saves with the installation of new Energy Efficient Windows.

The GGF has recently experienced a period of growth and also taking part in a transitional period of restructure. Because of this the company has appointed a new Managing Director for the Group’s commercial subsidiary companies. This appointment has been made with the hope that the trade association will be able to improve its commercial arm, a move which will have positive knock on effects for all companies that are connected to the Federation.

Billy Quinn has been appointed to this Managerial role and will no doubt prove to be an asset in this transitional period. In his new role Billy will be the managing Director of the subsidiary companies; FENSA, GGFi, BFRC, RISA and Borough IT. In the past Billy has proven himself to be an accomplished Business Leader, Commercial Director and Non-Executive Director. Billy will bring a wealth of experience to the GGF Group and will be successful in in his new role with the trade association.

In previous roles, Billy has successfully held senior commercial roles within the several blue chip retailing Groups which include HRG, Kingfisher and B&Q. On top of this, Billy has had experience working in the not for profit sector and has in the past held the position of Non-Executive Board Chair of The Furniture Ombudsman.
