There are bargains galore among a string of homes in Stoke-on-Trent listed in the upcoming Bond Wolfe property auction.

More than a dozen houses across the city, some with guide prices* as low as £15,000, are set to go under the hammer at Bond Wolfe’s livestreamed auction on Wednesday 27 March.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “These homes in Stoke-on-Trent offer outstanding value to potential bidders, whether they are young couples looking to get a foot on the property ladder or by-to-let investors expanding their portfolios.

“This is why literally thousands of people from all over the country – and overseas – are attracted to our livestreamed auctions – the chance to pick up a property bargain no matter the size of their budget.

“With more than 190 lots, there’s going to be a lot to choose from on 27 March.”

The two-bedroomed mid-terraced house at 299 Leek Road, Stoke-on-Trent, has a guide price of £15,000+ because of the need for modernisation work throughout the property.

It stands elevated from the road behind a foregarden. Inside is a hall, reception room and dining kitchen on the ground floor, with the two bedrooms and bathroom with WC upstairs. There are also gardens to the rear.

A guide price of £20,000+ has been set for a two-bedroom mid-terraced house at 63 Werrington Road, in the Bucknall area of Stoke-on-Trent. Standing behind a small foregarden, it has a reception room, kitchen and bathroom with WC on the ground floor and two bedrooms upstairs. There is a yard at the rear and both gas central heating and UPVC double glazing are fitted.

The same guide price has been set for a three-bedroomed end-terrace property at 74 Duke Street, in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, which is in need of thorough refurbishment throughout.

Previously used as retail premises, it is laid out with three rooms, a store and a WC downstairs, with three bedrooms and a bathroom with WC upstairs. There is a yard to the rear and UPVC double glazing is fitted.

A more unusual prospect is a set of former retail premises at 25 Ladywell Road, Tunstall, with planning permission to improve and extend the property.

It has been stripped back to the brickwork inside and is in need of complete renovation, so is therefore listed with a guide price of just £37,000+.

It stands flush to the pavement with two rooms downstairs and two rooms upstairs. There is also a rear yard and outbuilding.

This property may be suitable for residential development subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents. At present planning permission has been granted by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, in April last year, for a singe-storey rear extension and rear dormer extension with loft conversion, subject to conditions.

The Stoke-on-Trent properties are among 191 lots that are appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which will start at 8.30am on Wednesday 27 March.
