Muse, the nationwide placemaker, has continued to grow its team in the North West with the appointment of two new senior hires, Matt Whiteley and Adam Bennett.

Matt Whiteley has been appointed as Senior Development Manager. He joins the Salford-based team from Harworth Group, where he delivered residential and commercial regeneration projects across the North West.

This includes Moss Nook, a 900-home community in St Helens, a 132-home residential scheme in Bolton, and a 1.2m sq. ft employment opportunity at Chatterley Valley in Staffordshire.

Whiteley brings extensive cross sector experience to Muse, having spent 15 years in development consultancy before moving to focus on the delivery of regeneration in 2016. Since then, he has helped secure planning approval for over 1,700 homes and nearly 4 million sq. ft of employment space.

Matt will support on the delivery of Muse’s regional pipeline. This will include the opportunity in St Helens for the transformation of the town centre into a mixed-use destination set around a new market hall, and the £30m regeneration at Earlestown.

Also joining the team is Adam Bennett as Senior New Homes Manager. With over 20 years’ experience in customer relations and management roles, Adam joins from Vistry. Prior to this he worked at Nikal, Hillcrest Homes and Duchy Homes.

Adam will help lead at the concluding stages of residential projects, through from inspections, new home management, client relationships, and the delivery of high-quality customer service to home buyers.

Phil Marsden, Managing Director at Muse – North West, said: “Matt and Adam bring a wealth of experience to the team.
