Chestertons has confirmed Watson Briggs as the new department head for its busy New Homes division. The promotion to New Homes Director comes just under two years after Briggs joined the agency as Director for West London Residential Developments and will see him lead and grow the team to further expand Chestertons’ presence in the sector.

Briggs has specialised in the New Homes market for over a decade and, prior to joining Chestertons in 2022, worked as St George PLC’s Head of Sales, representing some of the developer’s landmark projects including London Dock, One Blackfriars & Chelsea Creek.

He says: “I’ve joined Chestertons’ New Homes team just under two years ago and it’s been an incredible journey. The team prides itself on sourcing the latest new build opportunities and providing buyers with a bespoke service. As the New Homes Director, I’m focused on growing the department but also on maintaining a bespoke service to our clients whilst establishing opportunities with some of London’s latest and most sought-after developments.”

Using its network of international sales offices, Chestertons’ New Homes team works closely with reputable developers such as Ballymore, Higgins Homes and Mount Anvil by offering development and marketing advice and help sell their new homes. Some of the most recent projects Chestertons’ team has represented include Battersea Power Station, One Clapham and Riverscape.

Chestertons’ Head of Sales, Matt Thompson, adds: “With his in-depth knowledge and passion for the sector, Watson has been an invaluable asset to Chestertons’ New Homes team and we are looking forward to seeing him lead the team to its next stage of growth.”
