Offering an affordable route onto the property ladder for first-time buyers in Rugby, L&Q is launching two brand-new collections of two- and three-bedroom houses at Ashlawn Rise this June.

Ideally located just a short drive from Rugby town centre and close to great schools, Ashlawn Rise comprises a collection of one- to four-bedroom homes exclusively available through Shared Ownership.

Shared Ownership enabled local purchasers Tom and Liam to secure their first home together at Ashlawn Rise. They comment, “we were worried about being able to afford anywhere on the open market following the pandemic – prices had all gone up and it didn’t look like it would be doable…I saw a social media post from L&Q one day, and it was advertising Shared Ownership at Ashlawn Rise. We realised that using the scheme would be the perfect way for us to buy our first home with a smaller deposit.”

Just launched, deposits for L&Q’s new three-bedroom homes will start from just £12,200, offering a genuinely affordable opportunity for buyers with a small amount of savings to find a home at Ashlawn Rise. A further collection of two- and three-bedroom homes will be released on Saturday 15th June.

Claire Brenlund, Sales & Marketing Director at L&Q, says, “We are pleased to be bringing a brand-new collection of Shared Ownership houses to Rugby this summer. With two- and three-bedroom homes available in the new release, we’re able to cater for a range of different buyers including growing families, individuals and couples.

“Rugby continues to be a popular with buyers as it provides the best of both worlds – plenty of amenities with attractive surrounding countryside. Our new houses meet the acute demand for accessibly priced properties in this popular region, within a thriving newbuild community.”

All the homes located within Ashlawn Rise have a fully inclusive specification throughout and are covered by NHBC warranty. Open plan living spaces feature contemporary kitchens, complete with under cupboard lighting, a stainless-steel bowl sink with accompanying chrome mixer tap as well as integrated appliances including an oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.* Modern white sanitaryware is included as standard in bathrooms. Meanwhile, bedrooms benefit from carpet, and many come with a fitted wardrobe. Plus, each home will have allocated parking, and the majority have a turfed garden and including shed and paving.

A family and pet-friendly new neighbourhood, Ashlawn Rise is a community-spirited community that benefits from a range of nearby amenities. There are five local supermarkets close by as well as beautiful countryside and several paths and cycle routes.

Speaking about the area, Liam comments: ‘We still love it as much as we did on our first viewing. We adore being surrounded by fields, and our street is designed in a ‘horseshoe’ shape, which has really created a lovely community feel. There are plenty of places for countryside walks, which our adopted ten-year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier loves, as she can run around off the lead!”

Rugby itself offers an enticing blend of old and new, ranging from independent shops, antique centres and traditional tea shops to boutiques, art galleries and fine-dining restaurants. The town also has plenty of beautiful parks and gardens and outstanding architecture to admire, perfect for enjoying during the warmer months. For outdoor pursuits, Caldecott Park, Draycote Water and Swift Valley Country Park are all fantastic places to spend a weekend.

Ashlawn Rise is well connected for commuters. Rugby Station offers regular services into London Euston in 54 minutes, with Coventry and Birmingham New Street accessible in 10 and 25 minutes, respectively. By car, the development is just a seven-minute drive from Rugby Station. The M1 is just 15 minutes away by road, putting day trips and visits to friends and family within easy reach. For cycling enthusiasts, Rugby Station can be reached in 16-minutes by bike and the town centre in just 11-minutes.
