Ashfords, the national provider of legal and professional services, has made a move that will secure its continuing growth and prominence in the South West property market. The appointment of Bristol Real Estate specialist, Kate Topp, into its Property Team, will strengthen the firm’s Real Estate Team, boosting its residential development offering.

Kate is a leading residential development lawyer and former real estate Partner at Bristol law firm Osborne Clarke, who will bring to Ashfords a wealth of experience after she assisted a number of major housebuilders clients, advising on the development of strategic land, both regionally and nationally.

“I’m very pleased to be joining the Bristol office of Ashfords to help build upon and expand what is already a successful and well regarded residential development practice in the south and south west. I’m looking forward to working with new real estate, planning, construction, tax, corporate and banking colleagues at Ashfords who are already operating in this sector,” commented Kate Topp on the appointment.

The Real Estate Team is one of the largest development practices in the South West and is recognised for their work in real estate development. It has a good reputation for advising residential developers and housebuilders, building ongoing and successful relationships with key residential developers. Its focus is to spread its growth further in the country and bridge the gap in this highly competitive area of the market.

“We are delighted to welcome Kate to the Real Estate Team. The significance of gaining Kate reinforces Ashfords’ commitment to the firm’s expansion plans into the Bristol market. Kate will significantly strengthen the firm’s Real Estate offering to clients through her substantial reputation in the sector,” said Tim Heal, Partner and Head of Ashfords’ Real Estate Team.
