    Amanda Jarvis-Doyle, founder of independent estate agency Sabel & Co, is encouraging homeowners to act now to avoid their properties sitting idle during a quieter seasonal housing period.

    With many market participants delaying decisions until after the 26 November Autumn Budget and into the new year, the winter market could see reduced activity. Drawing on over 40 years of property experience, Amanda says that well-prepared sellers who invest in targeted marketing and presentation can continue to achieve strong interest, even when the market slows.

    Her insight stems from a career shaped by personal property investment and professional estate agency work. One property that had remained on the market for 15 months with another agent sold in just five weeks under Amanda’s guidance. By refining the presentation, staging carefully, and adjusting the price strategically, the sale was completed efficiently. Amanda’s approach blends practical experience with personal oversight, ensuring that every listing benefits from her attention and expertise.

    Beyond practical advice, Amanda’s story is one of resilience. Before founding Sabel & Co, she faced a financial setback following a misrepresented business opportunity. She emphasises that properties must stand out, be presented impeccably, and be supported by strategic marketing to achieve a sale before the market slows further. “Winter doesn’t have to mean stagnation if you approach it with planning and purpose,” she added.
