North East practice Architects-Group is set for another landmark year as it continues to expand its portfolio of luxury residential developments across the UK.
The award-winning architecture and design firm, headquartered at AirView Park, Woolsington, has reported sustained growth throughout 2025, driven by a series of multi-million-pound, one-off residential commissions. With a projected turnover of £3 million by the end of 2026, the practice is positioning itself among the UK’s leading specialists in high-end and countryside dwellings.
Landmark Projects and National Recognition
Architects-Group has secured six-figure commissions across several flagship schemes, including two Paragraph 84 countryside homes in Northamptonshire that have received peer design review approval. Another of the firm’s completed projects—a contemporary residence set within one of North Yorkshire’s protected landscapes—has been shortlisted in the AJ Architecture Awards 2025 for the Manser Medal (AJ House of the Year), recognising the finest new-build homes in Britain.
The studio, which has twice featured on Grand Designs, continues to strengthen its reputation in the niche field of ‘truly outstanding’ Paragraph 84 houses, renowned for their architectural innovation and environmental sensitivity.
Ultra-Prime Developments Across the UK
The practice’s growing portfolio includes some of the largest and most ambitious private residences currently under construction in the UK. Among them are:
-
A 60,000 sq ft neo-classical manor house in the South East—one of the largest dwellings underway in the country.
-
Two private homes of 45,000 sq ft and 35,000 sq ft respectively, both located in Berkshire.
-
A bespoke boathouse property on Lake Windermere, now under development.
-
A four-storey riverside apartment scheme in Cheshire, with individual units expected to start from £1.2 million.
Closer to home, Architects-Group has also secured planning consent for a new manor house and associated workers’ dwellings within an exclusive private Northumberland estate—a significant milestone following a long approval process.
Expanding Horizons
Architectural Director Dan Cogdon said the firm’s growth trajectory will continue into 2026, supported by the recruitment of additional design specialists and the expansion of operations overseas.
“The high-end property market remains resilient, with sustained demand for bespoke, architecturally ambitious homes,” Cogdon said.
“Our focus remains on quality over quantity—delivering exceptional design for discerning clients while investing in our in-house team to support long-term, sustainable growth.“We’re also preparing to expand internationally, with new opportunities emerging in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East in 2026.”
A Multi-Disciplinary Practice with Global Reach
Architects-Group currently employs 23 specialists across its studios in Newcastle, Cardiff, Chester, London, Lithuania, and Saudi Arabia, offering a full suite of services encompassing architecture, interior, landscape, and graphic design.
