Construction is coming to an end at a housing development in Otham, where the majority of residents have now moved in and all homes have been purchased.

Bellway is nearing the completion of building work at Bicknor Wood, off Gore Court Road, a project which started in 2018 to deliver 175 homes for private sale alongside 75 affordable properties available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

“We are really pleased that building work is nearly complete on the new homes at Bicknor Wood. The majority of new residents have moved in and we can see that a vibrant new community is being formed at the site,” said Mark Harrop, Sales Director for Bellway Kent.

“Bicknor Wood has developed into a really attractive new neighbourhood with a lovely community feel and it has been particularly popular with families and commuters. The site is ideally situated for residents to enjoy the many amenities offered by nearby Maidstone which is just three miles away.”

Bellway Kent is now to deliver a further 421 new homes in another development in Otham, called Parsonage Place, located off Church Road.

“Our commitment and determination at Bellway Kent to help meet the new housing demands of this area is underlined by our plans for hundreds of more homes just down the road from Bicknor Wood,” Mark added.

“We are looking forward to being able to start work at Parsonage Place in early 2022 and are aiming to release the first homes for sale in February. There was a high level of interest in Bicknor Wood even before we launched the site and we fully expect to experience strong demand for new homes at Parsonage Place.”

The first homes released for sale at Parsonage Place will be sold from the existing sales office at Bicknor Wood.
