Elite Renewables has been acquired by Shinobi Capital Group in a move that bolsters the investment firm’s rapidly expanding portfolio of low-carbon home energy companies, reinforcing its leadership in the UK’s retrofit and renewables market.
This strategic investment reflects Shinobi’s mission to create a cohesive group of expert retrofit providers who can offer reliable, scalable, and high-performing energy solutions across the UK. The move is well-timed, as public demand surges for sustainable upgrades supported by schemes like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, offering grants of up to £7,500.
Elite Renewables, operating for over ten years, has become known for its deep technical know-how and its work on complex residential projects across London and the South East. The company installs a wide range of renewable systems — including air source heat pumps, solar panels, MVHR, batteries, and EV chargers — often achieving system performance that exceeds 400%.
Strategic Growth Through Technical Talent
Elite now joins Shinobi’s growing portfolio of energy-focused businesses, including The Retrofitters and Pyramid Eco, both of which contribute to insulation and retrofit services across multiple property sectors.
The business will continue to trade under its current name, with its leadership and day-to-day operations unaffected. Shinobi’s investment will support Elite’s next phase of growth by providing access to advanced digital tools, streamlined systems, and strategic branding expertise.
Tim Cameron-Kitchen, founder of Shinobi Capital Group, stated:
“Elite Renewables is one of the most technically capable and well-respected businesses in the heat pump and solar space. Their commitment to long-term performance, attention to detail, and service quality make them exactly the kind of company we want to support. Their track record of some truly extraordinary projects makes this one of the most exciting renewables businesses in the UK.
“Together, we will build on that strong foundation and help more people across the UK upgrade their homes with confidence.”
Focusing on Long-Term Value and Customer Trust
Elite and Shinobi share a belief in providing more than just clean energy. Their combined efforts focus on delivering systems that not only reduce emissions but are engineered for efficiency, dependability, and long-term home value. Both organisations prioritise customer education and integrity — key principles as the UK scales its retrofit efforts.
This acquisition is a step forward in Shinobi Capital’s broader ambition to lead the UK’s transition to low-carbon living through trusted, high-quality service delivery.
Tim Cameron-Kitchen added:
“We believe the next chapter of the green transition belongs to companies that combine technical excellence with trust, education, and exceptional service,”
“Elite Renewables embodies all of that.”
