50 Per Cent of us Brits Are in Danger of Cybercrime Activities

According to a survey that was recently conducted by Norton Cyber Security, which was answered by a total approximating 21,000 people all over the world and 1,000 internet users within the United Kingdom, the Norton survey found that 50 per cent of people on these islands put themselves in danger of being attacked by online cyber criminals. The Norton survey found that a great deal of people are for one thing blissfully unaware of the dangers that they put themselves in every time they log onto the internet, but are also at sea when it comes to resolving the issues that they encounter. Such things can actually be resolved in a relatively simple way, such as simply by setting up a Wi-Fi password: however, it was found that 53 per cent had no idea how one actually sets up a Wi-Fi network  in the household that is sufficiently safe and secure for use.

Whilst a greater amount of people are becoming more aware and worried of the dangers that their devices can enable the hacking forces of darkness to converge upon them: in total 78 per cent were found to believe that their devices were currently in danger of this. On the other hand, it seems that not nearly enough are actually aware of how these cyber-security issues can actually be resolved  so that they are protected better. For example, one out of every seven people that were interviewed for the survey explained that they never changed the default Wi-Fi password, even though the instructions actively encourage one to do this.

These are incredibly simple measures that would not take long at all to be actually changed and would do Britons a world of good in terms of improving their security, but there seems to be some level of stubbornness in the British character that puts them at risk of being targeted by hackers from all over the world. Similarly, over half felt that the internet devices that they used actually come with pre-arranged protection packages but this has demonstrably not actually been the case.
