New platform provides FMs with direct route to pest experts
A new online platform has been launched, providing facilities managers with a direct route to pest control experts in any particular area.
The user-friendly ‘Find A Professional’ facility works from an extensive database held by BASIS PROMPT – an industry initiative register providing independent proof that a pest controller has received proper professional training and has continued to update their expertise through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Rob Simpson, managing director of BASIS PROMPT, said:
“Facilities managers with pest issues can simply click on a map to bring up a list of expert controllers in their locality.
“We know there are a number of unqualified controllers around, but the treatment of pests is often complicated and specialised and it can be false economy to ignore the professional approach simply to save money.
“We have strict criteria which ensures each of our members has received proper training and has continued to update their expertise through Continuing Professional Development.
“So by contacting a controller through our new website, people will be assured of a safe, effective and legal treatment.”
The new website also contains details about the BASIS PROMPT register and features a resource library along with links to key trade associations.
