eMoov Set For Huge Growth In 2016 Thanks To Funding And New Hires

Building on their completion of the largest ever property tech crowdfunding raise, the leading online estate agent, eMoov.co.uk, has bolstered its team sheet with a number of high profile appointments including Tariq Dag Khan as CMO and Ivan Ramirez as CTO.

eMoov’s recent funding campaign has allowed them to further build on a host of existing innovative tech developments and secure a number of key hires across all levels, in marketing, product and development, in order to further strengthen an already established team.

Tariq Dag Khan has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer to head up a marketing team that has increased four-fold in size in just six months. The former CMO of Rated People, Borro and Nimbuzz has led marketing for a number of high profile start-ups that have successfully gone on to float or sell.

Chief Marketing Officer of eMoov.co.uk, Tariq Dag Khan, commented:

“Throughout my career I’ve helped to dramatically grow young businesses and build brands that are now recognised on a global scale and, I look forward to doing the same with eMoov. It’s an exciting time in the online property sector and the market is ripe for disruption. As the industry leader in great customer service, with 4,500 homes already sold and another 1,800 properties for sale, I believe we are well-positioned to capitalise. I also believe we have a great team across all marketing channels and we’re only just getting started.”

eMoov has also appointed Ivan Ramirez, previously of Groupon, as Chief Technology and Product Officer. Ivan was Director of Global Product at Groupon, responsible for their global supply chain platform, going on to design and implemented the supply chain platform for Staples.com.

Chief Technical Officer at eMoov.co.uk, Ivan Ramirez, also commented:

“I’ve been involved in eMoov from the very beginning, as part of their first round of seed investors, and have always been extremely passionate about what the eMoov team do, so when the opportunity arose to join, it was a no brainer for me.

We’re developing next-generation technologies that will improve the end-to-end home buying selling experience, making one of the most important decisions of a person’s life faster, easier and more efficient.”

These high profile hires are bolstered by a number of additional expert hires in their respective fields, from the likes of Groupon, Just Eat and Get Taxi.

Founder and CEO of eMoov.co.uk, Russell Quirk, commented:

“It’s no longer about online vs the high street. The online estate agency space is now extremely busy compared to when I first started eMoov. 2015 has been a big year for the online sector with one IPO and another trade sale and there will be more of the same in 2016.

2015 was a year that I had set out to build firm foundations for the eMoov business. You can’t build a house on sand and I am delighted that the appointment of Tariq and Ivan to the exec team, ensures that we are now good to grow in 2016. Our tech, marketing strategy and this team, together with our ultra-successful crowdfunding raise, will now accentuate our already impressive performance, cementing us as the leading customer focussed estate agent.”
