The GTC office in Scotland is moving to new premises in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, due to growing demand. GTC is UK’s largest independent provider of utility networks and infrastructure to the new-build market. Its team from Scotland works together with developers and housebuilders to deliver a full range of utilities required for new homes such as gas, electricity, ultrafast fibre broadband, water, and low-carbon district energy networks.

In 2016, the firm expanded itself by establishing its first Scottish office, and since then it had a continuous success. GTC has been involved in many projects across Scotland, connecting services to thousands of new homes due to its unique ability to provide all six utilities, which many house builders prefer. Working with only one supplier that is able to install the whole utility infrastructure in one process is an advantage.
GTC Scotland team has over 40 employees and is headed up by Commercial Director, Lesley Campbell. Together with them are Sales Manager, Allan McKenzie and David Forbes, currently working with customers to develop low-carbon district energy networks.

“Having a base in Scotland has been very important for GTC and has brought us closer to our customers. Our team here understands the needs of the Scottish construction industry and has detailed knowledge of the building regulations and the policies relating to housebuilding determined by the Scottish Government. We have enjoyed putting that knowledge to work for Scottish developers and housebuilders and are looking forward to another successful year in 2018,” commented Lesley.
Founded in 1995, GTC serves over one million homes nationwide and manages and operates all their networks. The long-standing approach that the company takes is to work with the regulators and the rest of the industry to bring competition to the utilities market, thus benefiting housebuilders with greater choice, better service and lower costs.
