Workspace design experts, Kerr Office Group have recently worked with pioneering veterinary education providers, Improve International, to transform a Swindon office space into a dynamic, industry leading facility.

Kerr Office Group delivered a 9,640 sq ft scheme that balances both technical and educational areas such as wet labs and an X-ray room, with a large informal breakout space, perfect for collaboration and taking time out between classes.

Whilst Kerr Office Group typically undertake fit-out projects for office environments, their design expertise and passion for exceeding customer expectations meant that they were the perfect fit to deliver this specialist training facility for Improve International. This bespoke project extends Kerr Office Group’s offering beyond the workplace transformation initiatives they are more commonly known for, into the delivery of specialised training facilities.

Improve International has received investment from partners, supporting the growing industry needs to broaden access and upskill professionals through state-of-the-art training facilities. It was important that the new training centre reflected this, showcasing Improve International’s market position. Serving as a world-leading hub for learning and innovation in veterinary medicine.

Kerr Office Group ensured this workspace design was supportive of the hybrid work structure Improve International now has in place. The nature of veterinary professional work has evolved greatly since the pandemic, and while still requiring significant hands-on care and coordination, flexible work routines support optimal workplace productivity for this business. Ensuring the practice can function remotely whilst providing a welcoming environment that encourages professionals to attend in person were critical parts of the design brief.

Commenting on the delivery of this specialist project, Jonathan Kerr, Founder at Kerr Office Group commented: “We are proud to have partnered with Improve International to deliver its new dynamic veterinary training facility. This new workspace will play an integral role in its next phase of business growth and development, ultimately improving animal welfare.

“Improve International have been great partners throughout this project, truly understanding the importance and need for innovative workspaces that support the needs of both the organisation and its people, allowing all to flourish”

Commenting further on this state-of-the-art facility, Martin Corr, Operations Director at Improve International said “We wanted our new UK facility to be the flagship of our business, improving upon global veterinary standards. Kerr Office Group has excelled in delivering a facility that drives business growth which maximises education opportunities for our people.”

“Throughout this project Kerr Office Group exceeded our expectations, creating a coffee shop ambiance within a clinical space, setting the benchmark for future specialised projects.”
