AYLESBURY’S REGENERATION DESTINATION FOR BUCKINGHAMSHIRE BUYERS

AYLESBURY’S REGENERATION DESTINATION FOR BUCKINGHAMSHIRE BUYERS

Buckinghamshire homebuyers and investors will reap the rewards of one of the county’s largest regeneration projects in Aylesbury, as the multi-million pound regeneration programme to revamp the garden town is set to bring 16,000 new homes to the area, alongside rejuvenated waterways, parkland and a brand new town centre[1]. Award-winning developer Shanly Homes is making its mark on the regeneration project, building a selection of new homes in the centre of town at Merchants Place and The Arc, both available to purchase now through the renewed Help to Buy scheme.

Named as a garden town in 2017, Aylesbury is currently undergoing a dramatic transformation, with the masterplan set to be complete by 2050. As part of the well-considered project, the town centre will be expanded to create a revitalised heart of the town, with £4.5million being invested into the Kingsbury and Market Square area to create a lively new town centre destination for residents. In addition, a number of accessible travel routes and high quality neighbourhoods with new community hubs will be created, in a drive to enhance the area.

Vasos Ptohopoulos, Sales and Marketing Director at Shanly Homes, comments: “Properties in towns undergoing a regeneration make a great investment, as new and improved facilities can mean potential future house price growth, and a fantastic place to call home. Once complete, Aylesbury will be an even more desirable place to own a home, and we are thrilled playing a part in this regeneration. We have something for every type of buyer at Merchants Place and The Arc; whether it’s a first-time buyer looking for a first apartment at The Arc, or a family looking for a three-bedroom house at Merchants Place. And with both located in close proximity to the town centre, buyers will be in a prime position to enjoy all the benefits that the regeneration of Aylesbury will bring.”

As part of the regeneration, care is also being taken to revitalise the garden town’s existing parkland and waterways. Brand new waterside neighbourhoods adjacent to the Grand Union Canal and Bear Brook will create distinctive communities for all Aylesbury residents to enjoy. Plans are also in place for the ‘Aylesbury Gardenway’, an orbital park across the town, linking green and blue spaces, gardens, parks and natural areas.

Merchants Place comprises a contemporary collection of 31 two and three bedroom houses situated on a quiet road on the edge of Aylesbury. Enjoying a central location just a 20-minute walk from the town centre, residents will have access to the thriving high street and the well-served Aylesbury Train Station, as well as nine top-rated schools and colleges all within walking distance from home, proving the ideal place for a broad spectrum of buyers to put down roots.

Many properties benefit from open-plan living/dining areas, serving as the natural hub of the home, with French double-doors opening onto private rear gardens. Purchasers will have a choice of a modern combined kitchen/dining area or a separate kitchen depending on which housetype suits their needs, and all come equipped with a number of premium brand integrated appliances, including a full height fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The addition of underfloor heating to the ground floor enhances the fantastic specification. Master bedrooms come complete with fitted wardrobes and a ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom, whilst all homes also benefit from allocated parking spaces, with car ports and garages to some plots.

Located in the centre of town, The Arc comprises a contemporary collection of well-appointed one and two-bedroom apartments – available with Help to Buy – and is ideally placed for first-time buyers looking to put down roots. The apartments at The Arc have been thoughtfully designed to maximise both space and light; offering residents comfort and style without compromising on practical convenience. The luxury kitchens come complete with contemporary high gloss kitchen units and laminate worktops, as well as a selection of Zanussi integrated appliances. Two-bedroom apartments enjoy luxury en-suite bathrooms, featuring contemporary chrome brassware and luxury Minoli tiles to floors and part feature walls. Main bathrooms are equally well appointed and all master bedrooms come equipped with fitted wardrobes.

For commuting residents, Aylesbury is also home to unparalleled travel connections via rail or road.  The train station is just 10-minutes away on foot, providing regular services to London Marylebone Station in under an hour. For those travelling by car, the A41 and A418 offer access to the M40 and M1 motorways; leading to Oxford, or north to Milton Keynes. For international travel, London Luton Airport is just 24 miles away.

Prices at Merchants Place start from £349,950, whilst prices for the remaining apartments at The Arc start from £195,000. For further information on the homes available, visit www.shanlyhomes.com or call 01296 761260.
