Almost all the homes have now been sold at Bellway’s Rivenhall Park development in Witham, where construction work is due to be completed at the end of this year. All but nine of the 269 houses being built for private sale at the site off Forest Road have been purchased since the first homes were released onto the market in April 2017.

Bellway is building a total of 385 properties at the development, including 116 homes designated as affordable housing for rent or shared ownership.

Rivenhall Park is one of three Bellway developments currently under construction in Witham. All homes have been sold at Bluebells, off Rickstones Road, where building work is set to be complete this month, while the first homes at New Gimson Place, off River View, are due to go on sale in the summer.

“The consistently strong level of sales at our developments in Witham underlines the extent to which we are meeting the significant demand for new housing in the town and delivering a product which is both desirable and of a high quality,” said Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex.

“Rivenhall Park has been carefully designed to create an attractive neighbourhood for its residents, with public open space and a pond area provided within the site which offers access to the allotments next door. The development has also brought targeted investment in local services which will ultimately serve these homes and the people who live in them.

“There is now a thriving community at Rivenhall Park and we look forward to helping more homebuyers find their dream home at Rivenhall Park in the coming weeks. With construction work underway at New Gimson Place – and plans in the pipeline for a fourth development in the town – we are committed to delivering even more new homes to meet the demand from potential buyers in the area.”

Bellway has submitted plans to build 230 homes at a new development off Rectory Lane, next to the existing Rivenhall Park site. If approved, the development will include 161 properties for private sale and 69 affordable homes. As part of the planning agreement for it, Bellway has invested almost £2 million in local services, including £1.3 million for education and contributions towards sports facilities, healthcare and community centre improvements.

A selection of three and four-bedroom detached homes are currently available at Rivenhall Park, with prices starting from £419,995.
