Conveyancing Alliance (CAL), part of Movera, has promoted Mark Richards to Sales Director. The appointment follows four years of transformational impact by Richards as Area Director, during which he established and rapidly grew CAL’s presence across Wales and the South West of England.
Richards, who joined CAL in 2020, built a broker base in the region from the ground up, growing it to nearly 500 brokers in just four years—an achievement he describes as one of his proudest career milestones. With a career spanning three decades in financial services, including senior leadership roles at Principality Building Society and HSBC, Richards brings deep industry expertise and a track record of delivering both commercial and cultural impact.
In his new role, Richards will lead CAL’s team of Area Directors, driving growth by enhancing broker choice, optimising systems and processes, and ensuring CAL continues to deliver added value through its solicitor panel and broker partnerships.
Speaking about his appointment, Richards said: “CAL’s journey in recent years has been extraordinary, and I’m proud to have played a part in that growth. As Sales Director, my focus will be on supporting and developing our people in order to accelerate our expansion, listening closely to the needs of our brokers and estate agents, and delivering a service so strong that working with CAL becomes an easy and enduring decision.”
