Kuishi, a leader in eco-conscious product design, has unveiled the UK’s first carbon-positive dispensing solutions for both homes and businesses. These innovative refillable dispensers are a transformative step in reducing single-use plastic waste and promoting sustainable lifestyles.

In 2024, Kuishi helped businesses and individuals avoid the disposal of over 1 million plastic bottles by encouraging the use of refillable soap dispensers instead of single-use plastic alternatives. This achievement highlights the brand’s dedication to sustainability and waste reduction.

Building on a year of success, including collaborations with hotels like The Pig and Jumeirah Port Soller, Kuishi is preparing to expand its reach to the U.S. market in mid-2025.

How Kuishi’s Solutions Are Carbon Positive

Kuishi’s approach goes beyond carbon neutrality, achieving carbon positivity by offsetting 20% more carbon than their products generate throughout their entire lifecycle. This goal is achieved through:

    • Refillable Innovation: Each dispenser is designed to be refilled repeatedly, reducing reliance on single-use plastics.
    • Sustainable Materials: The dispensers are made from durable and recyclable materials such as glass, ensuring longevity and minimal environmental impact.
    • Low-Carbon Manufacturing: Kuishi prioritises renewable energy and low-carbon production techniques wherever feasible.
    • Ethical Carbon Offsetting: Partnering with Carbon Sense, Kuishi offsets emissions through impactful initiatives like reforestation, renewable energy projects, and carbon capture efforts.

Plastic Waste Reduction at Its Core

Plastic bottle waste poses an escalating environmental crisis. Kuishi’s refillable dispensers offer an elegant, sustainable alternative for households and businesses to reduce single-use plastic consumption.

In the past year alone, Kuishi’s customers refilled dispensers over 1 million times, preventing an equivalent number of plastic bottles from entering the environment. This success underscores Kuishi’s role in fostering a culture of sustainability.

“Our mission is to empower people to make a difference in their daily lives,” said Stephanie Melarickas, Founder and Director at Kuishi. “Refilling dispensers instead of throwing away single-use bottles is a small change that makes a big impact, and we’re proud to support our customers in that effort.”

The company also aims to support initiatives that address plastic waste, further strengthening its commitment to community sustainability.

B Corporation Certification: A Testament to Impact

Kuishi’s 2024 B Corporation certification demonstrates its dedication to balancing profit with purpose. This distinction is awarded to businesses meeting high standards of social and environmental accountability and transparency.

“Achieving B Corp status and launching the UK’s first carbon-positive dispensers are milestones that reflect our core mission,” said Mark Hopkins. “We’re not only rethinking how products are used but also tackling the larger issue of single-use plastic waste while positively impacting the planet.”

    Elevating Everyday Sustainability

Kuishi’s carbon-positive dispensers redefine sustainability, offering a stylish, refillable solution for modern living. These dispensers enable customers to embrace eco-friendly habits while maintaining quality, functionality, and elegance in their daily lives.
