ITS to launch new Luton store, creating jobs and supporting local trades

Tool and equipment supplier ITS has announced it will open a brand-new store in Luton, bringing new employment opportunities and expanded support for tradespeople in the area.

Located on Bilton Way, the new branch is scheduled to open on Saturday 7th March. Customers can expect the same trusted combination of expert guidance, competitive prices and strong product availability that ITS is known for.

The Luton store forms part of the company’s continued commitment to high-street retail, complementing its online growth while ensuring customers still have access to in-person advice.

The opening has already created several local roles, with further recruitment planned as the store grows.

ITS says it is committed to hiring locally and providing staff with training and long-term career prospects.

“This isn’t just about opening another store — it’s about investing in the local area,” said Paul Hubbard, Director at ITS.

“We want to create jobs, support local trades, and become a genuine part of the Luton business community.”

The company says its Luton branch will offer a different experience from traditional trade counters, with an emphasis on browsing and product discovery.

Rather than keeping most stock hidden behind counters or in storage areas, the store will feature a wide selection of tools and equipment on open display, allowing customers to see and compare before buying.

Dedicated ‘Power Zones’ will showcase leading brands such as Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita and Bosch, giving customers the chance to get hands-on with products.

The store will also stock workwear, storage solutions, hand tools and essential site equipment, including electrical and landscaping tools. Click and collect services will be available for online orders, and knowledgeable staff with real trade experience will be ready to help.

“The easiest way to describe it, is that it’s a big toy shop — but for tradespeople,” Paul Hubbard added.

“There’s far more out on display than you’d typically see in a trade store, which makes it easier for customers to discover new tools, compare options and leave with exactly what they need.”

ITS says the location has been chosen to make life easier for tradespeople across Luton and nearby areas, reducing travel time and keeping them close to key suppliers.

The business says the new store reflects a long-term commitment to the region, not a short-term expansion plan.

“We see huge potential in Luton and the surrounding area,” added Paul Hubbard.

“There’s a strong trade presence here, and we’re excited to support local businesses, contractors and sole traders with a store that’s built around how they actually want to shop.”

The new ITS Luton store will officially open on Saturday 7th March. More details about the opening event and special offers will be shared closer to the launch.
