ITS announces new Dagenham branch to strengthen UK retail network

ITS, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of tools, workwear and equipment for trade professionals, has confirmed plans to open a new physical store in Dagenham later this spring, continuing its long-term investment in bricks-and-mortar retail.

The new branch will be based at Unit 12, Dagenham Logistics Hub, Rainham Road South, Dagenham, RM10 8LR. The company expects the store to open in late March or early April 2026.

Designed to serve tradespeople across East London, Essex and nearby areas, the Dagenham location will offer a local destination for purchasing tools, workwear and site equipment, complementing ITS’ established online platform.

Richard Hughes, Director at ITS, said the decision to open in Dagenham was driven by clear demand from the local trade community.

“Dagenham sits right at the heart of a major trade and logistics corridor,” he said.

“It’s an area with huge volumes of construction, infrastructure and industrial work in the area, so opening a store here makes a lot of sense for both our customers and the business.”

The new store will also generate employment opportunities locally, with ITS recruiting a number of roles to support the branch both at launch and as it continues to grow. The company has confirmed it will prioritise local recruitment and offer training and long-term career development.

“Our stores are built around people as much as products,” Richard Hughes added.

“We’re focused on bringing in local knowledge, developing teams from the area, and building a store that genuinely supports the trades working around it.”

Unlike traditional trade counters, the Dagenham branch has been designed to encourage hands-on product discovery. Much of the stock will be available on open display, allowing customers to browse, compare and assess tools in person rather than relying solely on catalogue-based ordering.

Customers visiting the store will be able to explore products from major brands including Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and Bosch. The range will also include workwear, storage solutions, hand tools and essential site equipment such as electrical and landscaping products, supported by knowledgeable in-store specialists.

“There’s a real difference between seeing a tool on a screen and actually picking it up in person,” Hughes said.

“We want customers to be able to walk in, find things they didn’t know existed, compare options side by side, ask questions, and leave confident they’ve bought the right kit for the job.”

The branch will also provide a click and collect service for online orders, enabling tradespeople to minimise downtime by collecting items locally.

ITS says the Dagenham opening reflects a considered, long-term approach to regional investment rather than short-term growth.

“It’s about putting branches where they genuinely add value. Dagenham allows us to better support trades across East London and Essex with faster access, better choice and real in-person support.” Richard Hughes said.

The Dagenham store is scheduled to open in late March or early April 2026, with further announcements on launch events, opening offers and community activity to follow closer to the opening date.
