The Considerate Constructors Scheme, a national scheme that has been created but the construction industry in order to improve their image, is preparing to reveal the UK’s highest performing registered companies and suppliers in 2017. The scheme will be hosting the popular and long awaited 2017 National Awards on 2nd and 3rd November at the renowned Four Seasons Hotel in London.

All of the registered companies and suppliers had their considerate performance assessed against the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice between 1st August 2016 and the 31st July 2017 as a part of the Awards selection process. The ceremony to take place this year will mark the second year that suppliers have been eligible to win National Awards, following the introduction of Supplier registration by the Scheme in 2014.

The Policy Director of CITB, Steve Radley and the Chair of NFB, Clare Watson will be announcing whether each of winning company will receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award for their achievements. The runners-up for the prestigious ‘Most Considerate Company’ and ‘Most Considerate Supplier’ Awards will also be announced.

It is hoped that the achievements of construction companies will work as motivation for other businesses and encourage them to work towards being awarded the coveted Most Considerate Awards. More and more companies are registering with the Scheme and therefore helping to push up the bar of considerate construction. The competition for the awards is intense and it is great to see those who are working hard to improve the image of the industry celebrated for their efforts.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit independent organisation that was first founded in 1997 in order to help the industry improve their image. The Scheme offers voluntary registration for construction sites, companies and suppliers who all agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice. This Code means that those who are registered are committed to caring about the company appearance, respect in the community, protecting the environment and the security and safety of their workforce.
