Artisan Real Estate Investors has been nominated for two categories – the Property Company of the Year and the Deal of the Year – in this year’s prestigious Scottish Property Awards, which will take place in Glasgow on the 1st of March.

Artisan’s success across Scotland over the past 12 months is reflected in its nomination for the Property of the Year award. Some examples of its work include the flagship Edinburgh city-centre development, the continued progress at New Waverley, the major regeneration projects in Glasgow – the Cotton House in the Merchant City and the Custom House on the Clyde Waterfront.

The Deal of the Year nomination comes after Artisan had agreed in July 2017 to bring 2,900 HMRC jobs in Edinburgh, with the lease of New Waverley’s 190,000 square feet new office building to the Government Property Agency.

“Both awards recognise Artisan’s growing presence and influence across the Scottish property scene. We have forged a strong reputation with New Waverley over the last few years and I am especially pleased that Artisan is now being recognised for its wider investment across Scotland, including other developments in Edinburgh and two significant regeneration projects in Glasgow which will come of age in 2018,” commented Jaco Jansen, Chief Executive at Artisan.

“The UK Government’s move to New Waverley is Edinburgh’s largest office leasing deal of recent times. It represents a landmark property deal which demonstrates how much increased value we can bring back into our city centres through sensitive and progressive development,” said Clive Wilding, Artisan’s project director at New Waverley.

Artisan’s 30 years of experience is reflected in some of the UK’s most innovative and exciting Grade A industrial, leisure, office, residential, and retail developments. Its pipeline of current development projects consists of 1.5 million square feet with a gross value of almost £400 million. A significant part of the business has been more active in Scotland during the past three years in particular.
