Prestige Offices has revived its acclaimed podcast series, which delves into the historic origins of some of London’s most celebrated buildings—now converted into stylish, high-end office spaces for today’s professionals.
The podcast first aired in 2020 and continued through to 2023, offering fascinating insights into buildings with intriguing pasts. From elegant Art Deco ballrooms to industrial sites used by the Michelin tyre company, the podcast highlighted how these spaces have been thoughtfully reimagined for modern business use while retaining their original charm.
Edward Lewis, Head of Research at Prestige Offices, said:
“We ran the podcast for two years during the pandemic and very much enjoyed sharing what we learned about London’s rich history through researching the celebrated buildings now offering first-class business space, and the districts that they sit within.”
Entitled London’s Best Office Spaces – The Links Between London’s Past and the Modern World, the podcast features episodes on iconic locations including Victoria House in Holborn, the Old Bailey, and the Mayfair property where Queen Elizabeth II was born. Also explored are the City banking hall where the first cheque was cashed in 1834, and the district that is now home to The Shard.
This relaunch is part of Prestige Offices’ continued commitment to blending modern workplace solutions with a deep respect for the capital’s architectural and cultural heritage.
Through podcasting and other digital storytelling tools, the agency hopes to offer a richer understanding of the spaces they promote—revealing the unique narratives that make these properties stand out in today’s competitive office market.
Edward Lewis added:
“The research team took a hiatus from producing the podcast series whilst significantly upgrading the website by adding several new properties in numerous locations across London. The by-product of the enrichment exercise has been the discovery of a new bounty of fascinating facts. The team is excited to share these findings through the podcast relaunch.”
