The Record-Breaking Ciel Hotel from The First Group, Dubai Based Property Company

Ground has been broken on construction of the new Ciel hotel in Dubai Marina, with the final concrete pour for the foundations scheduled for early September 2020. Ground is not the only thing that will be broken – once complete, the building will break the record for the tallest hotel in the world, at a planned height of 360 metres. The 82-storey building is being constructed by Dubai based property developers The First Group, as a flagship development of the company.

    Hotel Development

The First Group is developing the Ciel hotel in partnership with the China Railway Construction Corporation, to a design envisioned by the award-winning London-based architect NORR. Upon its completion it will become the tallest hotel in the world, one of the region’s most famous buildings, and a stunning addition to the iconic Dubai Marina skyline.

Considered an architectural masterpiece, the hotel is due to be completed by 2023, with a gently curving abstract metal and glass exterior housing some of the city’s finest hotel rooms and suites in an already upscale area.

    Observatories and Terraces

The finished hotel will span 82 storeys and feature a total of 1,042 individual guest rooms, including 150 premium suites and multiple luxury amenities for the benefit of guests and visitors. The signature rooftop Sky Terrace will feature an infinity pool and observation deck, situated just above the 81st floor Ciel Observatory and Lounge.

These two floors will provide guests with sweeping 360-degree views of the city, the Arabian Gulf, the Dubai Marina, and the Palm Jumeirah. Throughout the building landscaped vertical terraces are planned, delivering unique communal spaces with natural ventilation throughout.

    Food and Beverage Services

The Ciel will feature numerous dining and drinking options, spearheaded by a signature speciality restaurant and bars on the upper floors to take advantage of the spectacular ocean views. These will include a Horizon Bar on the 77th floor and a Sunset Lounge on the 75th floor, with all-day dining facilities available to guests. These food and beverage offerings will combine with the stunning and unique views to draw in international visitors and locals keen to experience this one-of-a-kind development.

    Awards

The Ciel hotel has already become the recipient of multiple prestigious awards for architecture. The 2019 International Property Awards designated three individual design awards to the construction, including Best International Hotel Architecture. The Dubai, Africa and Arabia Property Awards 2019-2020 recognised the Ciel as the best property across four categories, including Hotel Architecture.

    The First Group

The First Group is renowned in Dubai for upscale hotel property development. The flagship project of the Ciel will form part of a portfolio of 18 buildings in Dubai to date, and a wider Northern Emirates portfolio which includes residential properties, real estate asset management services, and food and beverage brands.

The First Group operates a unique strategy of providing opportunities for private investors to purchase individual suites, apartments and upscale luxury hotel rooms across a comprehensive range of properties in popular Dubai locations. Investors are further incentivised by bonuses such as travel rewards, complimentary hotel stays and other lifestyle experiences, as well as financial bonuses for personal referrals.
